Before we get started you should know the few similarities and differences between non-metallic and metallic conduits.

Key Similarities Between Metallic and Non-Metallic

Key Differences 

• Non-metallic conduits are typically made of PVC.
• Some non-metallic conduits cannot be installed in exposed areas.

ENT Conduits

Electrical Non-Metallic Tubing (ENT) is best for indoor-use for nonmetallic conduits. ENT is a thin corrugated tubing that can bend the direction necessary. It is not threaded, but ENT can be:

• Encased in walls or cement.
• Installed either exposed or concealed.
• Easier to install, but may not hold it’s shape completely.

Flexible Conduits (FNMC) 

Flexible Conduits are also available as a metallic conduit. They are a comparable option to install when other types of conduits cannot run, and can potentially help reduce interferences with wiring. They also bend to the direction much easier that a metallic conduit could. 

PVC Conduit

Polyvynlchoride (PVC) Conduits are the workman’s preference for electrical conduits, tubing, fittings, enclosures, and more! Not only can this type of conduit run under enclosed and open environments, but they are also:

• Corrosion resistant
