Branch circuits recognized by Article 210.4 Multiwire Branch Circuits from the National Electrical Code are permitted as multiwire circuits. Each multiwire branch circuit must be given a means that will disconnect all ungrounded conductors at the same time from the point where the branch circuit originates.
